50TH ANNIVERSARY OF WORLD WAR II <br />COMMEMORATION WEEK <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS. The freedoms and liberties enjoyed by the citizens of this great <br />republic were won and have been protected by the men and women <br />who became the veterans of the many wars in which this nation has <br />been engaged, and <br />WHEREAS, Without the guarantors of our freedoms, our veterans, the way of <br />life that we have enjoyed for over 200 years could not be sustained, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, The citizens of this fair state are extremely proud of those men and <br />women who have suffered hardships and made sacrifices in the <br />defense of the United States of America, now <br />THEREFORE, 1, Vernon F. Reinert, Mayor of the City of Lino Lakes, do hereby <br />call upon all my fellow citizens to take full advantage of the special <br />week as set aside as "50th Anniversary of World War II <br />Commemoration Week", November 4th - 11 th, to honor the men <br />and women who served during World War 11 and who have <br />provided all of us with a nation of free individuals who enjoy liberty <br />and equal justice under law. Further, I urge all individuals, schools, <br />churches, organizations, business establishments and homes within <br />my official jurisdiction to proudly display the Flag of the United <br />States of America and participate in programs in honor of all the <br />World War I1 veterans and veterans of all the wars in which the <br />United States has been a part, which are to be co-sponsored by the <br />Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and its Ladies <br />Auxiliary and others, during the week of November 4th - 1 1 th, <br />1995. <br />Vernon F.
