Review if at this time we need to be more restrictive.
JUNE 1995
18. Housing Code
Review the safety issues associated with this code.
JUNE 1995
19. Adams Outdoor Advertising
19 APRIL 1995 - NEW ORDINANCE
20. Continue exploring relationship with neighboring communities.
Look to Hugo and Centerville. Existing Joint Powers Agreements
already exist with N.Oaks (code enforcement), White Bear Township
(inspection) Lexington (solid waste) and the Centennial Fire Dist.
HOLD MEETING IN JUNE AND QUARTERLY MEETINGS THEREAFTER.
21. 20/20 Vision
Hold the Public Forums in January, with follow through to continue
through May. Idea implementation will follow as well.
ON GOING - 1ST PART TO BE COMPEL TED JULY 1995
22. Consensus Building
A final goal I have for 1995 is to develop consensus building among the
City Council. I would propose the use of a consultant to teach us all the
principles of win\win decision making. I am confident that we all; council,
public and staff share the same "vision" for Lino Lakes and its' future.
We want to provide quality services, respect the integrity of the environment,
& keep taxes low. None of us want wall to wall housing, smoke stacks for
industrial development's sake, or acres of parking lots and convenience stores.
Based on that, we need to work harder on compromises. At our last work
session, a disagreement arouse between paying cash to employees for $
saving ideas and not. A compromise might be a day off to an employee which
is valued by the employee but is not a cash expense to the City.
1 JULY 1995
