AGENDA ITEM 8 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Randy Schumacher <br />DATE March 22, 1995 <br />TOPIC Public Hearing to redesignate a portion of the 1994-1995 <br />Community Development Block Grant Funds. Approve <br />Resolution 95-34. <br />Resolution 94-06 designated $9,700.00 to the City's Therapeutic Recreation Program. <br />As of March 1995, there remains an unused balance of $8,811.93 and it has been <br />determined that a majority of these funds will not be used. <br />The City may redesignate all or a portion of the remaining Therapeutic Recreation <br />dollars towards another qualifying plan. <br />The public hearing has been set to take input on qualifying programs. <br />.ommendation of staff to redesignate $5,000.00 of 1994-1995 Therapeutic <br />eā¬ation dollars to the City's growth study (Land Use/Economic <br />Development/Impact Study) to be spent before December 31, 1995. <br />The request for redesignation will go to the Anoka County Review Board on April 27, <br />and the Anoka County Board on May 9, 1995, for approval. <br />App rt ve resolution 95-34 redesignating 1994-1995 CDBG funds from the <br />Therapeutic Recreation Programto the City's Growth Study(Land Use/Economic <br />Development/tmpact Study). <br />Send back to staff for further considerations. <br />Recommend option 1 <br />
