Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer <br />DATE March 21, 1995 <br />TOPIC Consideration of Petition Titled "City Cap on <br />Building New Homes" <br />Attached you will find the first page of a petition delivered to my <br />office on February 22, 1995 at 5:00 P.M. This petition was <br />delivered with the previously mentioned petition titled "Conflict <br />of Interest". This petition contains 186 qualifying signatures. <br />As outlined in the previous "green sheet", 292 signatures are <br />required to make an initiative or referendum petition sufficient <br />and allow such petition to be placed on the next scheduled election <br />ballot. At least 582 signatures are required to allow an <br />initiative or referendum petition to be placed on a ballot at a <br />special election. <br />The attached petition is not sufficient to require that the matter <br />be placed on a ballot. <br />1. Adopt Resolution No. 95 - 39 Determining that the Petition <br />Entitled, "City Cap on Building New Homes" is Insufficient and <br />directing the City Clerk -Treasurer to deliver a copy of the <br />petition, together with a written statement of its defects to <br />the sponsoring committee. <br />Option No. 1 <br />
