5EFJ
August 1, 1995
Ms. Mary Kay Wyland
City of Lino Lakes
1189 Main Street
Lino Lakes, MN 55014-2123
Dear Ms. Wyland:
3535 VADNAIS CENTER DRIVE, 200 SEH CENTER, ST PAUL, MN 55110 612 490-2000 800 325-2055
ARCHITECTURE • ENGINEERING • ENVIRONMENTAL • TRANSPORTATION
RE: Lino Lakes, Minnesota
Pine Ridge 2nd and 3rd
Swale Change
SEH No. A-LINOL3336.00
We have reviewed the grading plan prepared by Matke Engineering dated 6/14/96 (should be
6/14/95). This grading plan proposes changes to the south lot line swale in Pine Ridge 2nd and 3rd
to allow for the construction of lookout style homes instead of full basement ramblers. Although
the proposed grading changes lessen the slope of the swale, we do not anticipate any problems as
there is draintile in the swale.
The excavated material is proposed to be stockpiled south of Pine Ridge 2nd and 3rd. The plan
shows this pile to be approximately 4 to 6 feet high with 3 to 1 side slopes. Approximate volume
is stated as 7,000 cubic yards. This material is proposed for use on a future development on this
site. We have no objections to stockpiling this material, but do have the following
recommendations:
1. Side slopes shall not be steeper than a 3:1 slope.
2. Height of the stockpile shall not exceed 6 feet.
3. Side slopes shall be seeded and mulched to prevent erosion.
4. Stockpile shall be monitored by owner and kept free of weeds.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
i;r0X..f-Nt
Steven F.
