TKDA
TOLTZ, KING. DUVALL, ANDERSON
AND ASSOCIATES, INCORPORATED
ENGINEERS • ARCHITECTS • PLANNERS
MEMORANDUM
1500 PIPER AFFRAY PLAZA
444 CEDAR STREET
SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA 55101-2140
PHONE:612292-4400 FAX:612/292-0083
To: David Ahrens, City Engineer Reference: Site Grading Status,
Copies To: Marty Asleson
Tony Emmerich
From: John Powell Mi'
Date: August 25, 1995
Clearwater Creek. Lino Lakes, Minnesota
Commission No. 10953-01
The current status of the site grading activity on the referenced project which is located south of
Cedar Street and east of Otter Lake Road is as follows:
The site grading itself is about 85% complete, the grading contractor has about one weeks
work left to complete his activities. The developer indicates that about 250 trees have been
transplated to date within the site to provide additional screening on the perimeter of the
development.
The erosion control on the site was inspected early last week and was found not to be in
compliance with the plan prepared by the developer's engineer. There was an area on site
where the silt fencing location was staked by the developer but hadn't been installed by the
contractor, this was near the northeast comer of the site. There were other areas on the site
near the northwest and southwest corners where silt fencing hadn't been installed but
where no erosion was taking place.
On Thursday, August 24, we met with the developer and his engineer on site to stress the
importance of maintaining erosion control after it rains and as grading activities evolve and
to discuss additional measures to be taken where Clearwater Creek leaves the site.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me.
