AGENDA ITEM No. 4B
STAFF ORIGINATOR: David Ahrens, City Engineer
DATE: 9/7/95
TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution No. 95-110, Ordering the City Engineer to
Prepare a Feasibility Report for Trunk Utility Services for the Clearwater
Creek Area.
BACKGROUND:
The possibility of future commercial and/or industrial developments in the
Clearwater Creek development area between Main Street and Cedar Street
(refer to attached location map) in the near future will require sanitary sewer,
water, and storm sewer systems to be constructed. Staff is requesting
authorization from Council to prepare a feasibility study investigating the
construction of these utilities. The purpose for having the report prepared at this
time, prior to any proposals for new development, is to provide the City adequate
information on how to best plan for the utility needs of any new developments in
the future.
The City's consulting engineer has quoted a price of $1,150 to complete this
study.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached resolution
authorizing the City Engineer to prepare a feasibility report for trunk utility
services in the Clearwater Creek area.
