Council Member introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94 - 99 <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PLACEMENT OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 49 (HODGSON ROAD) AND COUNTY STATE <br />AID HIGHWAY 10 (BIRCH STREET) <br />WHEREAS, due to development within Lino Lakes and surrounding <br />communities, the traffic on Highway 49 and CSAH 10 has <br />increased, and <br />WHEREAS, this increased traffic has caused traffic delays at the <br />Highway 49/CSAH 10 intersection, and <br />WHEREAS, many residents along Ware Road have noticed a significant <br />increase in traffic on Ware Road due to the delays at the <br />intersection, and <br />WHEREAS, other residents in the area have also written letters to <br />the City of Lino Lakes expressing concern regarding the <br />safety of the intersection, and <br />WHEREAS, a traffic study has been prepared which indicates an "all <br />ways" stop sign or semaphore is warranted, and <br />WHEREAS, to date no traffic control has been erected by the State <br />at the intersection, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LINO LAKES that the <br />Lino Lakes City Council supports installation of additional traffic <br />control at the intersection of Highway 49 (Hodgson Road) and County <br />State Aid Highway 10 (Birch Street) and directs the City Engineer <br />to contact the State of Minnesota and Anoka County to facilitate <br />installation of same. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 19th day of December, <br />1994. <br />Vernon F.
