AGENDA ITEM NO. 3A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Randy Schumacher, City Administrator <br />DATE August 9,1996 <br />TOPIC Consideration of Audit <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City requested the Certified Public Accountant firm of Tautges, Redpath & Company <br />to submit a multi-year proposal for auditing services. The City Council reviewed their <br />proposal at the August 7, 1996 work session and requested a four (4) or five (5) year <br />proposal. I discussed your request with Mr. Tautges on August 8, 1996. He was <br />agreeable to extend the contract for one additional year (a four (4) year contract) for the <br />following amounts: <br />Audit year 1996 $19,200.00 <br />1997 $19,800.00 <br />1998 $20,400.00 <br />1999 $21,000.00 <br />By extending the agreement by one year the City receives a reduction of $2,195.00 over <br />the term of the contract. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. <br />Adopt a motion accepting a four (4) year proposal from Tautg Redpath & Co. <br />2. Rebid for services. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option No. 1, accept the four (4) year proposal from Tautges, Redpath & Company. <br />
