AGENDA ITEM NO. 9D <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Marilyn Anderson, Cie r -Treasurer <br />DATE August 20, 1996 <br />TOPIC Deed for Conveyance of Forfeited Lands <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In June, 1995, I notified the City Council and staff that a parcel of land was is tax <br />forfeiture status. I was directed to obtain title to the parcel for use as open space or <br />mitigation. The parcel is shown on the attached map. The former owner had researched <br />options for use of the land, however, no part of the parcel was deemed buildable. Since <br />there was no use for the parcel, the former owner allowed it to forfeit to the State. <br />I applied for title of the parcel and recently received the title. The purpose of this "green <br />sheet" is to let you know the status of the parcel. Please note the letter from Gene <br />Rafferty, Anoka County Land Commissioner in which he states that the parcel can only <br />be used for open space. <br />OPTIONS <br />No action is needed, for informational purposes only. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />None <br />
