KARE About Kids: Putting Youth First <br />Children's Conference April 30 & May 1, 1997 <br />Keia) ikm <br />August 20, 1996 <br />Mr. Randy Schumacher <br />Administrator, City of Lino Lakes <br />1189 Main Street <br />Lino Lakes, MN 55014 <br />Dear Mr Schumacher: <br />I am writing.,to ask, .or your help., in, obtaining a letter of <br />support from your city for the' Anoka County Conference on <br />Children and Youth that will be held on April 30 and May 1, <br />1997 at the Blaine National Sports Center. <br />A Planning Team has been meeting since early last Spring to <br />develop the Conference. This county -wide event originated <br />from several different groups in the county who are <br />concerned about youth. They want the Conference to <br />accomplish the following: 1) Inform people about youth and <br />resources for youth in the county, 2) Inspire adults to get <br />involved in youth's lives, and 3) Unify around youth in the <br />county by motivating communities to actively build assets in <br />their youth. <br />In September, members of the Planning Team will be Asking <br />the County Board for financial support for this Conference. <br />Letters from the municipalities in,Aiioka County stating <br />their support of the Conference will be provided to the <br />County Board alongwith the funding request. <br />1 have attached a draft letter of support for your <br />convenience. We have a tight timeline in this task, and <br />would appreciate your cooperation.
