Property values should not be diminished
one way or the other - however, that is a subjective
statement.
F. That the proposed action will be in keeping with the
spirit and intent of the ordinance. The intent of the
ordinance is to provide a greater setback on corner lots
for site visibility purposes. Site visibility may not be
a problem provided the accessory building is located
toward the rear property line and some "reasonable"
distance from the street side property line.
Staff would recommend denial of the variance as requested.
OPTIO.
...................
....................
1. Deny variance request and require building to be removed and/or
relocated to a position within setback requirements.
2. Approve variance to allow accessory building closer than 30' to
the street side property line. Exact footage to be determined by
P & Z.
3. Return to staff for further consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
...........................................................
...........................................................
Option 1
