COUNCIL MINUTES <br />July 10, 2017 <br />APPROVED <br />1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />2 MINUTES <br />3 <br />4 DATE July 10, 2017 <br />5 TIME STARTED 6:30 p.m. <br />6 TIME ENDED : 8:10 P.M. <br />7 MEMBERS PRESENT Council Member Rafferty, Kusterman, Maher, <br />8 Manthey, and Mayor Reinert <br />9 MEMBERS ABSENT none <br />10 <br />11 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Director of Public Safety John Swenson; <br />12 City Planner Katie Larsen; City Engineer Diane Hankee; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br />13 <br />14 There was a moment of silence in honor of Public Works employee David Lichtscheidl, who passed <br />15 away on July 9. The Mayor and Administrator Karlson offered condolences and gratitude for the fine <br />16 work provided by Mr. Lichtscheidl. <br />17 <br />18 PUBLIC COMMENT <br />19 <br />20 No one was present to address the council regarding a matter not on the agenda. <br />21 <br />22 SETTING THE AGENDA <br />23 <br />24 The agenda was approved as presented. <br />25 <br />26 SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />27 <br />28 The 2017 Lino Lakes Ambassadors and 2018 Ambassador candidates introduced themselves to the <br />29 council and presented a parade award for display at city hall. <br />30 <br />31 CONSENT AGENDA <br />32 <br />33 Council Member Maher noted her concern that Aspen Contracting (Item 1H) has been aggressively <br />34 soliciting business door-to-door, apparently without a license. City Clerk Bartell said that staff will <br />35 make note of the situation in the license file for future license consideration. <br />36 <br />37 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items 1 A through 1 H, as presented. <br />38 Council Member Maher seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />39 <br />40 ITEM ACTION <br />41 Consideration of Expenditures. <br />42 <br />43 June 26, 2017 (Check No. 106046 — <br />44 106286, $762,219.83) Approved <br />45 <br />1 <br />
