Council Member <br />adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 152 <br />PROVIDING SUPPORT TO "CREATING COMMUNITY", A <br />COLLABORATIVE EFFORT TO BUILD HEALTHIER NEIGHBORHOODS <br />PRIMARILY THROUGH INCREASED INTERNAL ASSETS, AND APPOINT A <br />LIAISON TO "CREATING COMMUNITY" <br />WHEREAS: the City of Lino Lakes desires to improve the health of its citizens and <br />neighborhoods, and <br />WHEREAS: Creating Community is an organization of citizens, community and <br />business leaders, churches and policy makers whose purpose is to improve <br />the health of our community, be encouraging every person to take <br />responsibility for the community's well being; building assets in our youth <br />to encourage them to be productive, caring citizens' and creating or <br />supporting community groups to accomplish goals identified by <br />community members, and <br />WHEREAS: Creating Community has requested the City of Lino Lakes to encourage, <br />support, and participate in their efforts to build healthier communities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino <br />Lakes, Minnesota: <br />1. The City hereby supports the efforts of Creating Community to build <br />healthier communities and authorizes Creating Community to announce <br />support of the City. <br />2. The City appoints to serve as a liaison to <br />Creating Community. <br />Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council the 25th day of November, 1996. <br />
