PURPOSE <br />To Set forth policy and procedures for operation of the weekend multi -jurisdiction <br />transport service. <br />II. POLICY <br />111 PROJECT COORDINATOR <br />A. A transport project coordinator will be designated by the Sheriff's Office. <br />The transport coordinator will: <br />1, Schedule departments for transport duties_ <br />2. Mediate any disputes. <br />3_ Respond to any questions or concerns that arise. <br />FV. PROJECT SUPERVISION <br />A. The on duty patrol Sergeant for the Sheriff's Office will assume control of <br />the transport project during its scheduled hours of operation. He/she will: <br />1. Resolve any problems as they occur. <br />2. Respond to any special requests or needs that arise. <br />B. The Jail facility supervisor will assume operational control if no patrol <br />Sergeant is on duty_ <br />V. TRANSPORT <br />A. The transport vehicle shall be staffed by two officers at all times. This <br />staffing may consist of: <br />1. Two licensed officers <br />2. One licensed officer and one reserve.' <br />3. Two reserves.` <br />When resefves are used they must have received training in f=irst <br />Aid, CPR and Use of f=orce. <br />VI. MEM POFaT DUTY ROTATION <br />A. Transport duties shall rotate among participating law enforcement agencies. <br />B. The frequency of the rotation shall depend upon the number of anoka <br />county law enforcement agencies participation in the transport project. <br />C. Fach agency will cover one entire weekend consisting of a Friday and <br />Saturday from 1900-0300. <br />D. The Sheriff's Office shall maintain the transport schedule for the agencies <br />involved in the transport program. <br />E Each participating agency is responsible for providing coverage on their <br />assigned weekend. <br />VII. TRANSPORT OFFICERS <br />A. Agencies shall submit the names of their transport officers to the transport <br />coordinator by Friday noon on their assigned weekend. <br />3. Only officere/reserves who have received Sheriff's Office training may be <br />used for transport. <br />C. Smaller departments may Join together to provide transport personnel for <br />the county wide transport project. <br />D.
