XIII. TRANSPORT VEHICLE (!SAGE <br />A. The transport vehicle will be searched for contraband prior to and upon <br />completion of each transport. prisoner Is <br />g. GENERAL TRANSPORT POLICIES <br />A. All prisoners are to be searched prior to transport. <br />1. When possible, the search should be conducted by a member of the <br />same SAX. <br />B. Male and female prisoners shall be kept separate at all times. <br />C. Combative prisoners should be kept separate from compliant prisoners. <br />D. It is the responsibility of the arresting agency to see that Injured or sick <br />prisoners have been seen by a doctor or waived medicsi treatment prior to <br />their transport 10 the jail faculty. <br />�. Prisoners in need of detox services shall not be transported to the jail <br />facility. <br />F. Transport officers must verify that the prisoner is 18 years of age or older. <br />G. Alt juveniles must be transported to the juvenile facilty by the arresting <br />agency County wide transport will not be used for Waite trasnport. <br />H. Property shall be removed from the inmate and stored in the property <br />Compartment of the vehicle. <br />I. Property containing weapons (such as pocket knives, mace etc.) must be <br />clearly marked with the word "weapon". <br />., Inmate property must be stored in the property compartment away from the <br />Inmates. <br />XVI. PAT SEARCHES <br />A. Pat searches must be done in a careful and systematic manner. <br />B. searches shall be in keeping with individual departmental policy. <br />G. personal property items must be removed from the inmate and inventoried. <br />XVII. INMATE PROPERTY <br />A. Inmate property must be inventoried on ACACF form number ACF -065. <br />B. Items should be described in full, Use model names and numbers when <br />applicable. <br />C. Care must be exercised when listing jewelry, clothing items etc. Never <br />assume quality when describing an item. Examples: yellow metal should <br />be used, not gold. Red stone, not ruby, leather like, not leather. <br />D.
