Semi Annual Report 15 January -June 1995 INVESTIGATION UPDATE: SEMI ANNUAL REPORT JANUARY - JUNE 1995 CLEARED BY ARREST 8 EXCEPTIONALLY CLEARED 18 INACTIVE PENDING CHARGES 34 UNFOUNDED 4 Cases of Interest: In March the department experienced 13 cases of vandalism, in most instances vehicles which were parked overnight, on the street or driveway had one or more windows shot out with what appeared to be a BB gun. The department has several suspects and continues to investigate this matter. Charges were filed against a 25 year old male for 3rd Degree Arson and 5th Degree Assault. The suspect was charged after he started a couch on fire then began choking his girlfriend. This case is expected to be first heard in April. The Anoka County Sheriff's Department seized property in Lino Lakes. This case was taken to the Supreme Court with the County winning this forfeiture. This was the first such case in Anoka County. During the month of April the Lino Lakes Police Department successfully interviewed two juvenile males. The result of these interviews will result in the clearance of four (4) Auto Thefts, three (3) Criminal Damage to Property and a number of Thefts from Vehicles. This is being prepared and will be submitted to the County Attorney's Office for formal charges. Over $5,000.00 in property was recovered as well. Keller continues to attend the Anoka County Investigators monthly meetings. Met with Anoka County Juvenile Center to discuss current issues. Arrested an adult and juvenile in connection with the theft of stereo equipment from a motor vehicle. The suspects also confessed to thefts from vehicles in Forest Lake and Centerville, all the property was recovered. Arrested two juveniles for the theft of fishing equipment. Both suspects admitted to this theft. The property was recovered.
