CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Karlson <br />MEETING DATE: June 13, 2016 <br />TOPIC: 2nd Reading of Ordinance No. 02-16 <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting City Council consideration of a second reading of Ordinance No. 02-16, <br />"Amending Title 1000, Chapter 1002 of the Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances Relating to Fire <br />Code." <br />BACKGROUND <br />This amendment states that the term "Fire Department" or "Fire Division" shall mean "Lino <br />Lakes Public Safety Department — Fire Division." The amendment also authorizes the Public <br />Safety Director or his/her designee to administer and enforce the provisions of the Minnesota <br />State Fire Code. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve second reading of Ordinance No. 02-16, "Amending Title 1000, Chapter 1002 of the <br />Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances Relating to Fire Code," with the following actions: (1) <br />dispense with the full reading of the ordinance; and (2) a roll call vote for adoption of the <br />ordinance. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Ordinance No. 02-16 <br />
