Lilac Street Rehabilitation-City Engineer Wedel distributed his staff report.
The council has authorized the turn back of Lilac Street from Anoka County to the City.
As part of that process, the city received $300,000 for future overlay of the street. After
a study of the roadway condition, Mr. Wedel explained that it was determined that a
reclamation project would better serve the situation. Since Anoka County is in the
process of establishing a large reclamation project, he asked them to include Lilac Street
as an alternate in the bidding process. The price bid is favorable but is approximately
$12,000 over the $300,000 available in the city budget. Mr. Wedel is asking if the
L 23 council would like to utilize existing balance in the pavement management funds to
facilitate the project.

The council concurred with utilizing the funds as proposed and will anticipate that staff
will bring forward a joint powers agreement for the project.

1.
