Presentation of 2011 Audit Report—Finance Director Rolek introduced <br /> 16 representatives of the firm CliftonLarsonAllen who had performed the audit services. <br /> 17 Representatives Rachel Flanders and Brady Hoffman presented a summary of the written <br /> 18 audit report(on file). They reviewed information on Required Communications, Audit <br /> 19 Results, Financial Results and Other including such areas of GASB No. 61. It was noted <br /> 20 that for the eleventh consecutive year, the city will be receiving the GFOA Certificate of <br /> 21 Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 The council will consider acceptance of the audit report at the council meeting. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 2. Revised Personnel Policy—It was noted that the policy will be pulled from the <br /> 26 regular council agenda for further discussion at the next regular work session. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 3. Review Regular Council Agenda of May 29,2012—Regarding Item 4A,the council <br /> 29 received an explanation from Police Chief Swenson and City Attorney(criminal) Robb <br /> 30 Olson regarding the Driving Diversion Program (DDP). The program is authorized <br /> 31 through the state legislature to divert individuals who have been cited for driving after <br /> 32 revocation or suspension by providing a means by which they can reinstate driving <br /> 33 privileges while paying outstanding fines. The program is offered at no cost to the city <br /> 34 and actually would provide a cost back to the city in the form of an administrative charge. <br /> 35 Lino Lakes would be the first city in Anoka County to offer the program but other cities <br /> 36 are in the process of engaging also. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Mayor Reinert confirmed that the program does not put drivers with alcohol related <br /> 39 offenses back onto the road. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 No council action will be required to institute the program; the council concurred with <br /> 42 staff's intent to proceed. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m. <br /> 45 <br /> 1 <br />
