Requested Council Direction <br />Staff is presenting the idea of pursuing a change to the city's current practice of odd -year <br />municipal elections as a possible cost savings and efficiency measure and requests <br />direction from the council regarding your interest. If the interest is present, the council <br />should discuss the form of charter amendment that could be pursued. Staff would then be <br />able to put together a possible schedule for either a council vote or inclusion of a question <br />on the 2011 ballot. <br />
