AGENDA ITEM 2A `..-- <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Al Rolek, Director of Finance <br />MEETING DATE: September 24, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 07 -155, Approving 2007 General Fund <br />Budget Amendment For Charter Commission Expenditures <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At a special city council meeting held on July 23, 2007, Charter Commission Chair Cori Duffy <br />appeared before the council to request additional funding in 2007 for anticipated commission <br />expenses related to publishing and legal expenses. The council recognized that the commission <br />may need additional finding related to study of the proposed charter amendment, but asked that <br />the commission put together more specifics including the amount requested for consideration at <br />the August 6 work session. <br />Chair Duffy has submitted a letter requesting $5,250 of additional funding for outside legal <br />services to assist in the review of the proposed charter amendment. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Approve Resolution No. 07-155 amending the 2007 General Fund Budget for additional <br />Charter Commission expenditures <br />2. Deny Resolution No. 07-155 <br />
