CITY QUESTION NO. 1: <br />CHARTER AMENDMENT <br />Should Chapter 7 of the City Charter be amended by adding new language <br />to limit annual ad valorem property taxes, levies and specified fees for City <br />services to a cost of living adjustment with a maximum increase of 5%, <br />and to restrict the ability of the City to increase any fund balance, with <br />increases in excess of these limits subject to voter approval? <br />YES <br />0 <br />NO <br />(b) The City Clerk -Administrator is authorized and directed to prepare separate <br />ballots, ballot strips, or ballot booklets for the elections for use in conjunction with the electronic <br />voting system, on blue paper with black ink pursuant to the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, <br />Section 206.61. The City Clerk -Administrator will provide each polling place with at least two <br />sample ballots which are facsimiles of the card to be voted on in that precinct, in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes Section 206.62. <br />6. The City Council will meet in the City Hall on Wednesday, November _, 2006, at <br />p.m., C.S.T. to canvass the results of the election and to declare the results thereof. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />3 <br />
