<br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 17-05 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING LOCATION OF <br />LINO LAKES VETERANS MEMORIAL <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Veterans Memorial is being proposed in Lino Lakes to honor all those who have <br />served or are serving our country in the military; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council and Officers of American Legion Post 566 are committed to <br />constructing a Veterans Memorial in Lino Lakes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the American Legion expressed that its preferred location is the island in front of <br />City Hall. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes does <br />hereby support the construction of a Veterans Memorial on the island in front of City Hall, and <br />wishes to engage an architect to design the memorial for this location. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 9th day of January 2017. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />_______________and was duly seconded by Council Member ________________ and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />The following voted against same: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br /> <br />
