During the review and
update process for the current document, a planning team
engaged government officials in local meetings and
planning workshops to discuss and complete tasks
associated with preparing the Plan. This working group
coordinated all aspects of the plan development process
and became formally recognized as the Anoka County Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee.
In addition to regular meetings, committee members routinely communicated and were kept
informed through a dedicated e-mail distribution group. Additional participation and input from
B. Does the plan indicate who was
involved in the planning process?
(For example, who led the
development at the staff level and
were there any external
contributors such as contractors?
Who participated on the plan
committee, provided information,
reviewed drafts, etc.?)

Mitigation Planning
Community “Kickoff”
meeting
Capabilities, Hazard
Risk, and Vulnerability
Data Collection
Data Methodology
Community meeting
Community meeting
to review data
collection progress
Mitigation Goals and
Plan Maintenance
Draft Plan Review
Community Meeting
Plan Adoption
Community Meeting
Community Workshop to
develop mitigation actions
