Anoka County Multi-Jurisdictional <br />All Hazards Mitigation Plan <br /> 18 <br /> <br />was assigned the task of meeting with appropriate officials from their respective agency or <br />jurisdiction to review and update the information for their jurisdiction. <br /> <br />During the original planning process there was concern was expressed regarding the formal <br />adoption of the plan by each of the jurisdictions at the end of the process. It was explained by <br />Anoka County Emergency Management that each of the committee members shared a role in <br />being ambassadors for mitigation, along with the responsibility of educating elected officials and <br />other stakeholders in their communities. Continued education, awareness, and public <br />involvement efforts will enhance support and general consensus on agreeable mitigation action <br />alternatives for Anoka County. During the comprehensive update Anoka County and the plan <br />participants would continue to use this process during the comprehensive update. <br /> <br />The Anoka County Community Meeting date was published on the Anoka County Website as <br />required for all public meetings. The meeting was attended by representatives of Anoka County <br />Emergency Management though the attendance from businesses and residents of Anoka <br />County fell short of our attendance goal. <br /> <br />ANOKA COUNTY MITIGATION PLAN PROJECT PLAN <br />Mitigation Plan Planning <br />Task Action/Description Responsible Deliverable <br />1 <br />Obtain approval for mitigation planning. Present <br />FEMA Mitigation Plan requirements benefits, <br />and deadlines to proper officials. Emergency Mgr <br />Resolution to <br />proceed <br />2 <br />Prepare a letter of interest and submit to all <br />eligible jurisdictions. Emergency Mgr Letter of interest <br />3 <br />Estimate the dollar amount of “in kind” <br />contribution to mitigation planning. Emergency Mgr Cost estimate <br />4 <br />Obtain approval, completed commitment letter <br />with signatures from all jurisdictions.
