In response to this requirement, the Anoka County Mitigation Steering Committee completed a Mitigation Technique Matrix to make certain they addressed, at a minimum, those hazards posing the greatest threat. The matrix provides the committee with the opportunity to cross-reference each of the priority hazards with the comprehensive range of available mitigation techniques, including prevention; property protection; natural resource protection; structural projects; emergency services; and public education and awareness.
