JUNE 23, 1975 <br />--6-- <br />Mayor Bohjanen told the people that he would ask Mr. &otwaid to have an answer <br />to this motion within 10 days or at least by the next Council meeting scheduled <br />for July 14, 1975. <br />Mr. Marier felt that this is all that can be done at this time and asked <br />that the meeting proceed. <br />Mayor Bohjanen reported that the and received a letter of resignation from <br />Mr. Richard Holman of the Police Department. Mr. Marler moved to accept <br />the resignation. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. The clerk was <br />asked to write a letter of "Thanks` to Mr. Holman. Also to inform the Police <br />Department and the Personnel commission of the vacany and ask if prospective <br />patrolmen could be Interviewed at the Personnel Commission meeting scheduled <br />for June 24, 1975. <br />Mayor Bohjanen announced that he had been appointed as Co -Chairman of the <br />Flag Raising Ceromony at the Anoka County Courthouse to be held at 6:30 A.M. <br />on July 4, 1975. All present were invited to attend. <br />Hr. Locher reported that he had received confirmation of the "ride -along" <br />rrms that were presented by the Police Department. The insurance Company <br />concurrs with the practice. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to authorize the use of these forms and the Police Depart- <br />ment to instigate the program. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. <br />An application for a Dance License and a 3.2% Beer on and off sale <br />application had been received from Mr. John Quinian of the Aragon Ball- <br />room. Mr. Locher found one signature missing. Mr. McLean moved to approve <br />the applications with the stipulation that the missing signature be inserted. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />There was no old business from the floor. Under new business, Chief Myhre <br />reported that he had received 21 calls conerning stray dogs within the <br />list month. He asked if he could authorize MAPSI for petrol duty at least <br />three hours per week in order to slow this down. There will be a cage here <br />at the Hall for holding dogs picked up by the Police. Chief Myhre said that <br />Fince this orginazation patrols Blaine it is possible to -co-ordinate the <br />;p3 trolling. He would contact them and set this up as to the time and the <br />areas to be patrolled. Mr. Zelinka moved to authorize Chelf Myhre to use <br />NAPS! for a maximum of ten hours until the next Council meeting on July 14, <br />1975. Seconded by Mr. Marler. Motion carried. <br />After some discussion, Mr. Zelinka moved to approve requisitions #578 <br />through and including #582. Seconded by Mr. Mclean. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Volk had submitted a schedule of mileage for use of his provate car while <br />on City business. There was discusion of this matter with Mr. Volk feeling <br />that the City vehicle is unsafe. There has been replacement of the tires and <br />he had authorized the Parkd Department to use the behicie. <br />
