COUNCIL MINUTES October 11, 2010 <br /> APPROVED <br /> 1 <br /> 2 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> 3 MINUTES <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 DATE : October 11,2010 <br /> 7 TIME STARTED : 6:33 p.m. <br /> 8 TIME ENDED : 6:53p.m. <br /> 9 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Gallup, O'Donnell, <br /> 10 Rafferty, and Mayor Reinert <br /> 11 MEMBERS ABSENT : Council Member Roeser <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; City Attorney Joseph Langel; <br /> 14 Community Development Director Michael Grochala; Chief of Police Kent Strege; and City <br /> 15 Clerk Julie Bartell <br /> 16 <br /> 17 PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 18 <br /> 19 David Gessner, 1879 Rehbein Street, read an email that he had sent to council members. As <br /> 20 an individual who is interested in starting a business from his home, he is concerned about the <br /> 21 city's home occupation regulations. He understands that the city's current regulations would <br /> 22 not allow him to sell anything that wasn't made in his home. The regulations seem to be too <br /> 23 far reaching and shouldn't be so restrictive as to limit small businesses. <br /> `-- 24 <br /> 25 The mayor responded that he believes the city is interested in enhancing and not inhibiting <br /> 26 small businesses and he will ask staff to add the matter to the agenda for the council's next <br /> 27 work session (November 1). <br /> 28 <br /> 29 SETTING THE AGENDA <br /> 30 <br /> 31 The agenda was approved as presented. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Council Member Gallup moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items lA through 1F. <br /> 36 Council Member O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote; Council <br /> 37 Member Roeser absent. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 ITEM ACTION <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Consideration of Expenditures: <br /> 42 <br /> 43 October 11, 2010 (Check No. 89185 - <br /> 44 89286, $187,481.94) Approved <br /> 45 <br /> 1 <br />
