Consider Annual Appointments—Administration Director Tesch outlined the <br /> 65 list of annual appointments; the council is required to consider these appointments at the first <br /> 66 meeting of each year. <br /> 67 <br /> 58 Council Member Gallup moved to approve the list of annual appointments as presented. Council <br /> 69 Member Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried (Council Members Reinert and O'Donnell <br /> 70 absent for the vote) <br /> 71 <br /> 72 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br /> 73 <br /> 74 4A. Consider second reading of Ordinance No. 17-08, Amending Chapter 503 relating <br /> 75 to Animal Control to change the number from two to three dogs allowed per <br /> 76 household without requiring a kennel license <br /> 77 <br /> 78 Police Chief Pecchia reported that the city received a request from a Lino Lakes resident for an <br /> 79 amendment to the city's animal control regulations to allow foster dogs in addition to the two <br /> 80 dogs that are currently allowed in the city (without a kennel license). After considering options <br /> 81 to address the request, the council directed staff to prepare the amendment before them that <br /> 82 would increase the number of dogs allowed under city regulations. <br /> 83 <br /> 84 A comment from a citizen opposed to the change was received by the Police Department and <br /> 85 distributed at the council work session on January 5, 2009. <br /> 86 <br /> 87 First reading of this ordinance was approved on December 8, 2008. Staff is presenting the <br /> 88 ordinance for consideration of second reading and passage at this time. <br /> 89 <br /> 90 Council Member Stoltz moved to dispense with full reading of the ordinance.
