Approval of July 6, 2009 Council Work Session Minutes Approved <br /> 52 <br /> 53 FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT, AL ROLEK <br /> 54 <br /> 55 There was no report from the Finance Department. <br /> 56 <br /> 57 ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br /> 58 <br /> 59 A. Retirement Incentive Program. Acting Administrator Tesch noted that staff is <br /> 60 presenting a retirement incentive proposal for the council's consideration. This program <br /> 61 provides incentives to employees who are already eligible for retirement and is being offered to <br /> 62 help deal with pending staff reductions necessary due to proposed budget reductions in 2010. <br /> 63 The proposal provides about a month period in which employees can make a budget decision <br /> 64 and about a month after that to implement their retirement. <br /> 65 <br /> 66 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve the retirement incentive program as presented. <br /> 67 Council Member Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mayor Bergeson was absent. <br /> 68 <br /> �-- 69 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br /> 70 <br /> 71 There was no report from the Public Safety Department. <br /> 72 <br /> 73 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br /> 74 <br /> 75 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br /> 76 <br /> 77 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT, MICHAEL GROCHALA <br /> 78 <br /> 79 6A. Approval of EDAC 5-year Strategic Plan and 2010 Action Plan —Economic <br /> 80 Development Coordinator Divine explained that the Economic Development Advisory <br /> 81 Committee (EDAC) has developed both a one-year and five-year plan. With the current market <br /> 82 slowdown, the five year plan is seen as a tool to focus on preparation for future economic <br /> 83 growth. The 2010 plan focuses on specific areas such as the redevelopment of the intersection <br /> 84 of Hodgson Road and County Road J and completion of the Town Center project. Ms. Divine <br /> 85 had reviewed the entire five and one year plan at the council work session. <br /> 86 <br /> 87 Council Member Reinert moved to accept EDAC's 5-year Strategic Plan and 2010 Action Plan <br /> 88 as presented. Council Member Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mayor Bergeson <br /> 89 was absent. <br /> 90 <br /> 2 <br />
