Consideration of appointing Patrick Moonen Lino Lakes Building Official- Acting <br /> 72 Administrator Tesch reported that state statute requires that the city appoint a building official <br /> 73 and with the vacancy in that position left by the retirement of Pete Kluegel, he is recommending <br /> 74 appointment of Patrick Moonen. <br /> 75 <br /> 76 Council Member Gallup moved to approve the appointment of Mr. Moonan. Council Member <br /> 77 O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br /> 78 <br /> 79 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br /> 80 <br /> 81 4A. Accepting donation from MN Department of Public Safety Safe and Sober Program <br /> 82 —Public Safety Director Pecchia requested that the council accept the award of a Stalker Radar <br /> 83 from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety—Office of Traffic Safety. This radar is <br /> 84 awarded to the department for its participation in the Safe and Sober Campaign in the month of <br /> 85 July. Members of the Lino Lakes Police Department participated in that program's enhanced <br /> 86 enforcement projects. He introduced Mr. Bob O'Brien of said Department of Public Safety who <br /> 87 presented the LifeSaver Award to Lino Lakes Police Sergeant Bill Hammes. He offered thanks <br /> 88 and praise to Sgt. Hammes for his many contributions to the Safe & Sober Program and <br /> 89 congratulated him on his pending retirement from the Lino Lakes Police Department. <br /> 2 <br />
