APPROVED <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> MINUTES <br /> CANVASSING BOARD <br /> DATE : November 9, 2009 <br /> TIME STARTED : 6:20 p.m. <br /> TIME ENDED : 6:25 p.m. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Members Reinert, Gallup, <br /> O'Donnell and Mayor Bergeson <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT : none <br /> Staff members present: Deputy City Clerk Jean Viger; City Attorney Joseph Langel; and <br /> City Clerk Julie Bartell <br /> Deputy City Clerk Viger reviewed the results of the Lino Lakes election held on <br /> November 3, 2009. <br /> At the board's request, City Attorney Langel reported on the status of filling the vacant <br /> city council seat. Under the provisions of the city charter the third highest vote getter <br /> will fill the vacant seat, that person being Dave Roeser. Under state statute, Mr. Roeser <br /> would be eligible to receive his election certificate and take the oath of office seven days <br /> after canvassing is complete, or November 17, 2009 at the earliest. That is also <br /> contingent upon Mr. Roeser filing his campaign fund disclosures. <br /> Canvassing Board Member Gallup moved to accept the November 3, 2009 General <br /> Election Results, as presented. Canvassing Board Member Reinert seconded the motion. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Being no further business, Canvassing Board Member O'Donnell moved to adjourn at <br /> 6:25 p.m. Canvassing Board Member Gallup seconded the motion.
