Park Board Minutes <br />October 9, 2017 <br />Page | 3 <br /> <br /> <br />∗ Conservation Development <br />∗ Wetland Banking <br />∗ Pollinator Areas <br />Finally, they will finish by working on an implementation plan with the City and <br />breaking the plan out into 5 year increments in which they will set priorities and goals. <br />Mr. DeGardner noted that in 2018 there will be general fund dollars set aside that will <br />be dedicated to park and trail improvements for development or redevelopment. <br />Ms. Amberg concluded that the Board will be provided a draft copy of this document <br />once it is ready for review. <br />Review Woods Edge Park Preliminary Master Plan <br />Mr. DeGardner presented the Board with the revised version of the Woods Edge Master <br />Plan. Ms. Amberg described the site being near the YMCA and near the trail <br />connection. She described the natural look of the area as it relates to the play <br />structures and natural woodland look of the park design. Also, this park design has <br />different stations that run along a trail throughout the park. <br />She notes that this design concept was based on the natural, wetland, and woodland <br />elements that surround this park area. The Board had positive feedback and they liked <br />the concept of the stations along the trail to create a different type of park experience. <br />6. Old Business <br />NorthPointe Park Playground Installation October 14, 2017 <br />Playground installation for NorthPointe Park was rescheduled to October 14, 2017 <br />between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM utilizing volunteers and a certified playground installer. <br />7. Next Scheduled Park Board Meeting <br />The next scheduled Park Board Meeting will be November 6, 2017 which will include <br />Ms. Amberg presenting a remaster planning process plan for Country Lakes Park. <br /> <br />
