j <br /> f <br /> j WS — Item 2 <br /> r WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br /> Work Session Item No. 2 <br />€ I <br /> Date, November 6, 2017 <br /> To : City Council <br /> From : Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br /> Re: Resolution of Support for Anoka County' s Rice Creek Chain of Lakes <br /> Park Reserve Master Plan Amendment <br /> G <br /> i <br /> Background <br /> The Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department has been working on a master plan <br /> amendment for the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve that includes redeveloping <br /> the Peltier Fishing Pier access (across from the park entrance road), adding some <br /> i' additional camper cabins to the campground, creating an interpretive area near the burial <br /> mound off CSAH 14 and Mound Trail, and incorporating the projects outlined in the <br /> Wargo Master Plan. <br /> I! <br /> Ms. Karen Blaska, Park Planner, will attend the November 6 work session to provide a <br /> j brief presentation and ultimately request the City Council pass a resolution of support for <br /> the master plan amendment.
