CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 17-125 <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR ANOKA COUNTY'S RICE CREEK CHAIN OF LAKES PARK <br />RESERVE MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest for the County of Anoka to provide open space recreational <br />facilities within the County; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Anoka has worked with the cities of Centerville and Lino Lakes and other regulating <br />agencies in a cooperative effort to develop the park reserve in the cities; and, <br />WHEREAS, the County of Anoka and the Metropolitan Council have designated the park as a park reserve; and, <br />WHEREAS, the County of Anoka has developed a park development program for the park reserve, which includes <br />incorporating the Wargo Nature Center's master plan into plans for the park reserve and includes several other <br />projects and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council requires an amendment to the Master Plan for the park reserve be approved <br />by the Metropolitan Council; and, <br />WHEREAS, City of Lino Lakes representatives have reviewed and commented on the plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes that the City Council <br />hereby offers support to Anoka County for the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve Master Plan Amendment <br />and its effort to redevelop the park. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 13th day of November, 2017. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Maher and was duly seconded by Council Member Kris i-Prma n and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Maher, Kusterma , Rafferty, Manthey, Reinert <br />The follow' .:.uu.- agai e: <br />n <br />ei ert, ayor <br />ATTEST: <br />ute Bartell, Ci Clerk <br />
