CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />December 4, 2017 <br />:''' 1 /DI <br />447 Council Member Rafferty asked about investigation vehicles. Director Swenson <br />448 explained that there is one vehicle in the capital vehicle replacement plan that would be <br />449 discussed next year. There is one vehicle that will be discussed based on condition <br />450 (Toyota Corolla). Council Member Rafferty asked Director DeGardner about a vehicle <br />451 that is currently being used by Brian Finke. Director Swenson explained that when the <br />452 temporary inspector came on the vehicle that is used as spare was put into rotation for use <br />453 by that new inspector. Council Member Rafferty suggested not buying the truck right <br />454 now and that the 60,000 mile truck be used instead. The city doesn't have the kind of <br />455 money it takes to have spare vehicles. <br />456 <br />457 Council Member Maher noted, regarding building inspections, that she's heard from <br />458 people that inspectors are missing things that need to be redone by contractors. She <br />459 noted Birch Court and 6495 Deerwood. She was on the phone with someone who was <br />460 basically getting a driveby inspection and that is not acceptable.
