<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1D <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Lisa Hogstad-Osterhues, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: September 12, 2016 <br /> <br />TOPIC Consider Resolution No. 16-99, Approving a <br />Parade Permit for Lino Lakes STEM School Family & <br />Friends 5K Run and Walk <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The 5k run and walk takes place on a country road and city streets. This event is scheduled to <br />take place between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016. The proceeds <br />will be used to purchase new playground equipment. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />This is the third year the event will be taking place. A map of the route is indicated on the <br />attached map. There will be bathrooms available at the school as well as basic first aid. <br /> <br />It is anticipates there will be approximately 75 – 100 participants. The event will start and finish <br />at Lino Lakes STEM School where the staging area will be located. <br /> <br />The Public Safety Department has reviewed the application and have signed off on the permit <br />with the understanding that the applicants will continue to follow their instructions on safety. <br />The applicant must also have in place all necessary permissions for use of property involved in <br />the event. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve Resolution No. 16-99, Authorizing a parade permit for the Lino Lakes STEM School’s <br />5K Run and Walk. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />Resolution 16-99
