CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6B <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: January 26, 2015 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution No. 15-02 Approving Classification <br />of Tax Forfeited Properties <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Anoka County has notified the city that 4 parcels of property (see map) in Lino Lakes have <br />been tax forfeited to the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Minnesota Statutes Section 282.01, subdivision 1(h), states that if a tax-forfeit property is <br />located within the boundaries of an organized town or incorporated municipality, a <br />classification, reclassification and sale must first be approved by the town board of the town or <br />governing body of the municipality in which the lands are located. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 15-02. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br /> 1.
