CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3A <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Karlson, City Administrator <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: February 27, 2017 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Technical Services Contract with Z Systems <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The City Council is being asked to approve a Technical Services Contract with Z Systems in <br />the amount of $7,975. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Staff met with Z Systems to discuss a complete upgrade of audio/visual equipment to high <br />definition (HD) in the Council Chambers and control room. Staff also met with Alpha Video <br />last September, but they were unable to meet our timeline for the project due to more pressing <br />obligations. <br /> <br />Our current audio/visual system is aging and no longer functions properly. All the equipment is <br />standard definition and would be upgraded to HD. The scope of the audio and video upgrade is <br />included in the Technical Services Contract prepared by Z Systems. <br /> <br />Upon Council authorization, a 50 percent down payment is required with the signed contract. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve Technical Services Contract with Z Systems in the amount of $7,975. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />Technical Services Contract between Z Systems and the City of Lino Lakes <br />
