<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 5A <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: May 22 , 2017 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 17-43, Accepting Bids and Awarding a <br />Construction Contract to Sunram Construction Inc., NorthPointe <br />Park Project <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting council authorization to accept bids and award a construction contract to <br />Sunram Construction Inc., for the development of NorthPointe Park. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized the advertisement for bids <br />during the April 10, 2017 City Council meeting. Fourteen Project Manuals were distributed. <br />The bid opening was conducted on Wednesday, May 10 at City Hall. Funding for this project is the Dedicated Parks Fund. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 17-43, Accepting the Base Bid and Alternates <br />Numbers 3, 4, 5, and 6 resulting in awarding a Construction Contract in the amount of <br />$280,823.00 to Sunram Construction Inc., of Corcoran, MN.
