CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION July 24, 2017 <br />DRAFT <br /> 1 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES 1 <br />MINUTES 2 <br /> 3 <br />DATE : July 24, 2017 4 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:00 p.m. 5 <br />TIME ENDED : 6:25 p.m. 6 <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Rafferty, Kusterman, 7 <br /> Maher, Manthey and Mayor Reinert 8 <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : None 9 <br /> 10 <br />Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Public Safety Director John 11 <br />Swenson; Community Development Director Grochala; City Planner Katie Larsen; City 12 <br />Clerk Julie Bartell. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Item 1) Public Safety Quarterly Update – Public Safety Director Swenson reviewed 15 <br />his written presentation (on the record). Notable events included Junior Citizens 16 <br />Academy, Fall Citizens Academy, National Drug Take Back Initiative, New Fire 17 <br />Equipment put into service, Child Seat Clinic (video produced). 18 <br /> 19 <br />Mayor Reinert encouraged council members to contact the Chief with any questions. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Item 2) Review Regular Council Agenda of July 24, 2017 22 <br /> 23 <br />Consent Agenda - Council Member Maher asked if the council has ever reached a point 24 <br />where peddler licenses are limited. At some point it can become something like 25 <br />harassment. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Mayor Reinert said the council could discuss the topic of peddler limitations at the next 28 <br />work session. 29 <br /> 30 <br />4A) Consider Sale of Fire Apparatus - Chief Swenson noted an offer from the 31 <br />volunteer fire department of Ellsberg in the amount of $32,500 for Engine.
