<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6C <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: September 25, 2017 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 17-110, Authorizing the Request for <br />Quotes for the Birch Street Trail Replacement Project, and the <br />Century Farms Trail Project <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting Council authorization to request quotes for the Birch Street Trail Replacement <br />project, and the Century Farms Trail project. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Two separate trail projects: <br /> <br />Birch Street Trail Replacement <br />The Birch Street Trail Replacement project is a trail maintenance project located along <br />Birch Street between Deerwood Lane and Living Waters Lutheran Church. Enclosed <br />location map. The project is estimated to cost $41,000 and is funded through the annual <br />trail maintenance budget. <br /> <br />Century Farms Trail <br />The Century Farms Trail project includes the construction of a new trail connecting <br />Century Trail south the Century Trail east through the park. Enclosed location map. <br />The project is estimated to cost $56,000 and is funded through park dedication. <br /> <br />The project schedule: <br /> <br /> Quotes presented to Council on October 9, 2017 <br /> Construction in the fall of 2017 or spring of 2018 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 17-110 Authorizing the Request for Quotes for <br />the Birch Street Trail Replacement Project, and the Century Farms Trail Project. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
