Approved 55 <br /> 56 <br />Resolution No. 17-94, Approving Off-Sale Liquor and 57 <br />Tobacco License for Clayton Gratz, Liquor Barrel Approved 58 <br /> 59 <br />FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT 60 <br /> 61 <br />There was no report from the Finance Department. 62 <br /> 63 <br />ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT 64 <br /> 65 <br />3A) Consider 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 09-17, Amending the Lino Lakes Code of 66 <br />Ordinances by removing Section 611.10, Gambling Tax – City Clerk Bartell explained that the 67 <br />ordinance presented for 1st reading would amend the city’s lawful gambling regulations. The 68 <br />amendments: 1) remove language requiring payment of a tax to the city, recommended because the 69 <br />city is now very limited in how it can utilize these tax funds. She added that staff intends to add an 70 <br />annual investigation fee to the city fee schedule in lieu of the tax; and 2) remove the requirement for 71 <br />gambling organizations to file monthly reports with the city. 72 <br /> 73 <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 09-17 as presented. 74 <br />Council Member Maher seconded the motion.
