<br /> <br /> <br />Q3 Notable Actions & Events <br /> <br />• The week of July 10th, Police and Fire staff visited eight Lino Lakes Playground programs in our <br />city parks. <br />• On July 27th staff attended the Lino Lakes Family Corn Roast and participated in the 2nd Annual <br />Public Safety Softball Game. <br />• Police and Fire staff attended 44 Night to Unite (NTU) block parties on Tuesday, August 1st. <br />Lino Lakes block party attendees once again donated supplies for students in need as part of our <br />annual NTU events. Attached is a photo of the donated school supplies. <br />• On Thursday, August 10th Lino Lakes Public Safety and Parks and Recreation staff in <br />conjunction with staff from Centennial Lakes Police Department, Centennial Fire District, <br />Lexington Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance conducted the annual Safety Camp <br />at Centennial Middle School. Safety Camp is focused on prevention by educating community <br />youth on safety. This year 57 community 4th graders attended the event. Special thanks to Fiesta <br />Cancun for providing lunch and DQ for providing Dilly Bars to attendees. <br />• Staff conducted the annual Youth Firearms & Hunting Safety course which started on August 10 <br />and culminated with a range & field day on August 26th. Twenty-one community youth <br />completed the program. <br />• Police and Fire Division staff participated in the St. Joseph of the Lakes Parish Festival on <br />Sunday, August 13, 2017 <br />• The Officer Shawn Silvera Rotary Run took place on Saturday, August 19th. <br />• Police and Fire staff participated in the Blue Heron Days parade. <br />• A Car Seat Clinic was held at Fire Station #2 on September 28th. Eight families were assisted <br />with the installation of 11 car seats. <br />• Staff re-instituted the Lino Lakes Public Safety Citizen’s Academy, there are nine participants <br />and the Academy began on September 7th and will run through October 26th. <br />
