<br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16-69 <br /> <br /> <br />APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR AUGUST 9, 2016 PRIMARY & <br />NOVEMBER 8, 2016 GENERAL ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a State Primary Election will be held on August 9, 2016 and a Presidential General <br />Election will be held on November 8, 2016; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 204B.21, Subd. 2, election judges and a head <br />election judge for each precinct in a municipality shall be appointed by the governing body of <br />that municipality; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 204B.21, Subd. 1, a list of eligible voters was <br />prepared; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the attached list of qualified individuals, if appointed, have agreed to serve as <br />election judges; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 204B.25, election judges will receive training <br />prepared by the Anoka County Elections and Voter Registration division; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes that <br />the named persons on the attached list of qualified individuals are hereby appointed to serve as <br />election judges and head election judges for the 2016 Primary Election and the 2016 General <br />Election if called upon to do so. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 11th day of July, 2016. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />_______________and was duly seconded by Council Member ________________ and upon a <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />The following voted against same: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />
