CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18-31 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING PETITION AGAINST PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FOR <br />THE LAMOTTE AREA WATERMAIN PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City is reconstructing the roadways and repairing the sanitary sewer within the <br />LaMotte area in 2018. As part of the project extending municipal water was considered. A public <br />hearing on the preliminary assessment to the benefitting property owners was held on January 22, <br />2018; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Charter requires a period of 60 -days to elapse after the public hearing upon <br />which certified petitions against, and in favor of may be submitted; and <br />WHEREAS, the City received an adequate certified petition, within the prescribed 60 -day period, <br />against a public improvement with respect to the municipal water service extension. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota received a certified petition against the LaMotte Area Watermain Project. The City <br />does not plan to construct the proposed Watermain Project or assessing for the improvements. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 26th day of March, 2018. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Manthey and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Manthey, Stoesz, Rafferty, Maher, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />(nifi <br />anne Bartell, C ,ty C <br />
