CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18-52 <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR THE 2018 LAMOTTE AREA STREET AND <br />UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2018 Lamotte Area <br />Street and Utility Improvement Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to <br />law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; and <br />CONTRACTOR <br />TOTAL BASE BID <br />Park Construction Company <br />$1,236,597.82 <br />Arnt Construction Company, Inc. <br />$1,238,274.84 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Park Construction Company is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, the bids received were more than the project budget as determined by the feasibility <br />report; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interests of the City to reject the <br />bids and rebid the project at a later date. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The bids received are hereby rejected. The City Clerk is authorized to return the bid bonds <br />to the contractors. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 14th day of May, 2018. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Manthey and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Manthey, Stoesz, Rafferty, Maher, <br />Re <br />The following voted against same: <br />;none <br />4111111111! <br />Jeff Reinert, or <br />ATTEST: <br />e Bartell, C y Cler <br />
