)./ i CG _;...r . b L AA <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18-71 <br />SUPPORT FOR LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES BOARD NOMINATION <br />WHEREAS, Dale Stoesz has served as at -large Councilmember for the City of Lino Lakes for years <br />2012 — 2015 and is currently serving a four-year term through the year 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Stoesz served as a member of the Lino Lakes Planning Commission in <br />years 2016 — 2017; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Stoesz has served in leadership roles for the City, including as Acting <br />Mayor and President of the Lino Lakes Economic Development Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, during his time in office, Councilmember Stoesz has served the Lino Lakes' and regional <br />community as an active member of several groups, including the North Metro Telecommunications <br />Committee and Joint Law Enforcement Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Stoesz has provided extraordinary government service by sharing his <br />professional expertise in the area of technology; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Stoesz is respected, both locally and regionally, for his character, integrity, <br />knowledge, unending drive to improve city services, and his commitment to public service; and <br />WHEREAS, Councilmember Stoesz has submitted his application to serve on the League of Minnesota <br />Cities Board of Directors; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes City Council is confident that Councilmember Stoesz will fairly and <br />thoughtfully represent the interests of cities throughout Minnesota and will be an active, dedicated and <br />participatory member of the board. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that the City <br />Council hereby supports the nomination and appointment of Councilmember Dale Stoesz to serve on the <br />Board of Directors of the League of Minnesota Cities. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 11th day of June 2018. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br />Manthey and was duly seconded by Councilmember Maher and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Manthey, Maher, Rafferty, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none (Abstain — Stoesz) <br />ATTEST: <br />lia[tyle Bartell, Cit Clerk <br />Jeff Reinert, a o <br />
