CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COU NTY OF ANOKA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO . 13 -84 <br /> <br />APPROVING A SPECIAL EVENT, PARADE PERMIT AND TEMPORARY <br />EXCLUDED BINGO PERMIT FOR BLUE HERON DAYS, AUGUST 16 -17, 2013 <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the Lino Lakes summer celebration, Blue Heron Days, is planned for the weekend <br />of August 16 & 17, 2013; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the schedule for this year’s festival includes a 5K run, a parade on Lake Drive, <br />Magic Bounce inflatables, a Commerce and Crafts Business Expo, Polynesian singer, bingo, <br />kiddie carnival, petting zoo, dance studio singers and dance presentation, yoga, family movie <br />night, CERT Team Blood Drive, Centennial Fire Open House, live music, YMCA Splash and <br />Dash, tent dance, Waldoch Farm garden tour, and Lino Lakes Ambassadors’ coronation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the City of Lino Lakes is sponsoring ma ny festival events and has submitted an <br />application for a special event and parade permit in conjunction with all the events; <br /> <br />WHEREAS , said permit applications were reviewed for compliance with the City of Lino Lakes <br />Code of Ordinances and for safety con siderations by city administration, police, fire and public <br />works divisions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County has approved a special roadway use permit to allow for parade <br />activities on Lake Drive on August 17, 2013 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City o f Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />That the City Council hereb y approves the special event, parade/run and excluded bingo <br />application s for the 2013 Blue Heron Days festival subject to ongoing effort s to ensure proper <br />safety, signage and related issues. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22nd day of July, 2013 . <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />_____________and was duly second ed by Council Member __________ and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />The following voted against same: <br /> <br />_____________________ <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />
